Map of the day

Seattle! We traveled 520 miles yesterday from Mountain Home to the west side of Seattle. It was an uneventful day - the boys napped, we listened to several Magic Treehouse audiobooks, and we stopped as infrequently as possible. The boys seem to have adjusted to the "new normal" of being on the road all day. Southern Idaho was not much to look at - Boise is an oasis in the middle of nowhere. We really enjoyed Oregon, however, despite the full-service gas stations and the 65 mph speed limit. That's where the first three pictures were taken. Eastern Washington was also very pretty - lots of vineyards and apple orchards (see last picture). We drove through a lot of hills, with views of mountain ranges in the distance. We saw a lot of the Columbia and Yakima Rivers - majestic! And the drive through the Snoqualmie area was especially pretty. All in all a good day. Today we will head over to Brad's friend Ted's house in West Seattle for a visit and to do some laundry, then into Canada! We talked to Escape yesterday and our trailer is waiting for us!
